Missy B, Missy B, What do You See?

Looking in one direction from here, Bronwyn could see the snow-frosted peaks of the Pyrenees. Spain was visible two ridges over, and spread out all below us to the south was the Mediterranean. The precipitous hills, all tumbling down to the sea, were completed covered in vines as far as you could see. The Banyuls wine is apparently quite famous and it seems as if every bit of the steep terraced, and walled terroir has been put into service.

After our climb, Thomson directed us halfway down a washed-out road which led to his favourite beach when we decided our temperamental Renault would not appreciate getting hung-up on the edge of a rutted road, (taking it out on us later), and so we picnicked on high, overlooking the sea. Then it was goodbye France, hello Spain! Posted by Picasa
