The Alcazar


In Seville we spent one gorgeous bright morning touring the Alcazar. Built In the 1360’s by a king named Pedro the Cruel, (wonder what he did to deserve that handle), it is the oldest royal palace still in use in Europe, used by the Spanish monarchy when they roll into town.

That’s pronounced Al-CA-tha by the way. Took us long enough to figure out why nobody knew what Dave was talking about when he kept asking where the Alcazar was. Posted by Picasa
