La Petite Canaille

Didi turned 2 on Sunday. We invited some new friends and had lunch and a cake by the pool. For some reason Eden has zealously taken on the "terrible twos". Don't let the picture fool you. She is usually in the throes of a back-arching, schreeching tantrum, which, really, we have never witnessed from any french child to date. Very easy to explain at the rural french grocery store that your little sweet, foreign child had not had enough of a nap today.

Oddly enough, the name of the creche where Didi does her hard time is called "Les Petites Canailles". Eager to get a read on the place we learned from our French-English dictionary that this translates into, "The Little Devils". Hmmm. No wonder they took Eden in. Too bad she is not living up to the name when she is there. She has started to demand "bisous!" from all the teachers when she leaves. They love the kisses, and the french that is coming out of our petite canadienne anglaise.
