Are We There Yet?

He Said:
Our months of prep have culminated in a couple of gym bags stuffed with clothes from Old Navy and some official documents. Nervous excitement is the call for the day. Personally, I am more concerned with having a squirming almost two year old running up and down the aisles of the airplane. Oh well, may as well get a jump on being disliked by the neighbours!

The last month has been great as we have had lots of great good byes. Sure to miss everyone.

Looking forward to settling in at our new spot and hoping for visitors.

This could be it for blog entries for awhile. We tried to fire up the laptop with its new wireless connection and of course couldn't connect. Not that I'm blaming DAVE. I'm sure we'll have absolutely NO problem whatsoever in explaining our computer help needs in French and then having a French computer person tell us in French technical terms what we need to do. This big adventure could become a series of misadventures I'm sure. Oh well, never a dull moment. As long as we don't lose any of the kids at Charles de Gaulle we'll muddle through.

Speaking of the kids, they have been soaking up as much television as possible before we leave. We've left the tv on pretty much 24 hours a day as we pack. Arthur overload. The withdrawal could be severe. Bronwyn thinks we are only going to France for a weekend.

So here we go. I'm taking a deep breath and trying not to be too control-freakish as my anxiety level rises. Although I do think that I should carry the passports.

France here we come!

Rachel
